AUDI fire extinguisher

First I started doing research on the brand AUDI, the products of AUDI and what the drive of the brand is. The brand is powerfull, progressive, sportive and reliable. I made a lot of different collages of physical characteristics and the form language fitting with the AUDI brand. The fire extinguisher is streamlined and these lines can also been found on their cars. The used colours are red, black, and white (chrome).

Ergonomics are also very important in this project. I have made many different cardboard models to see what a different size and handle do for the ergonomics of the product. I have chosen 5 favorite ergonomic handles and designs which I have further developed into foam models, so that you get a better feel of the product.

Out of the 5 different foam models I created one final clay model. The details are also worked out on the clay model. The details were first sketched on paper and selected before being added to the final model.

The clay model is a realistic prototype because the clay has approximately the same weight as the final product will have. The product is suitable for both left and right-handers and is used with both hands. The product matches the AUDI brand due to the shape and color of the product.
