The Moose

'The Moose' is a compact phone mount because it folds up on the bike when not in use. The bracket is fixed with two screws to the handlebar. 'The Moose' is easy to use, due to the use of springs which is closing the model.

First there is a lot of researched been done on excisting comparable products and the system of these products. Therafter we made a lot of sketches. We have chosen together with the client for the compact concept 'The Moose'. I made also a working model with the 3D printer to demonstrate the working of the model.

When the phone is placed in the phone mount the phone mount is not notable. When the phone mount is attached to the bike the phone will only be placed in portrait mode as a user research made clear most people want to have the phone in portrait-mode.

'The Moose' is universal for different sizes of smartphones because it uses a clamping with the use of springs. In addition, the phone holder can also be placed on different handlebar sizes (from 22.2 to 35 mm). The Moose can be used for sporty cyclists because the attachment to the handlebars is well secured and the phone is clamped securely due to the rubber surfaces.
